Discover Tejo Wines: Where Tradition Meets Terroir

Untitled_design_(92).png
Formerly designated as Ribatejo, the Tejo region unfolds along the Tejo River, stretching across a vast plain from Lisbon to the Zêzere River. Bathed in a Mediterranean climate with mild year-round temperatures and fertile soils, Tejo becomes the cradle of vineyards. Renowned for both high-quality white and red wines at an exceptionally competitive price, Tejo stands as a testament to centuries-old winemaking traditions.

Tejo's expansive embrace encompasses six distinctive sub-regions – Almeirim, Cartaxo, Chamusca, Coruche, Santarém, and Tomar. Tomar, the coldest, contrasts with Coruche, the hottest, resembling Alentejo's landscape. Tejo ensures wine quality with two designations – Tejo DOC (Controlled Origin Denomination) for premium wines and Tejo VR (Regional Wine) for the region's diverse and abundant offerings.

Tejo proudly holds the title of one of Portugal's oldest wine-producing regions. Its unique characteristics weave tales into every bottle, earning admiration and love.

White Wines: Smooth Elegance

Tejo's white wines are a testament to smooth elegance. Crafted from indigenous grape varieties, especially the aromatic Fernão Pires and Arinto, they embody the region's refreshing essence. These wines, characterized by a high level of acidity, offer a symphony of floral and tropical aromas, providing a delightful journey with every sip.

Red Wines: A Deep-Red Symphony

The red wines of Tejo steal the spotlight with their incredibly beautiful deep red color and aromatic charm. Known for their pleasant nature and smooth tannins, these wines are a true representation of Tejo's winemaking mastery. Each bottle narrates a story of the region's rich history and dedication to producing quality red wines.
